Must have been repainted at some point, so check for the reason why. Lower moldings should really be dark gray as well as the body of the rear bumper. That is the only thing to really catch my eye. Like mine, the LF signal lite is not seated properly. I paid less $s Canadian for 85000 miles with the Premium Pioneer sound system, the factory cover, 2 exhaust systems, and 4x4. Make sure you get 2 factory keys.

i paid 10,900 for a 02 zink yellow pioneer edition 4x4 with a hard tonneau and loads of accesories and with 78,000 miles the dealer did over 3 grand of repairs before i took delivery.

with 3 grand to put down your running the show, dont let them take your money, let them earn it.

am i crazy or does one of your pics show a window ad for "free identity theft" ...huh?

as to the dealers note... im not knocking the truck, just hoping i give you some arguing points that could save you some money if you negotiate with the dealer.

the interrior looks grey not black, if they are advertising keyless make sure you get the fobs. How are they the one owner, is it an employee selling it?? with 78k someone had to drive it... sport tracs dont have bed liners...they are just made that way, you arent getting anything special, dont let them charge you for it. the "premium CD " is not premium, its pretty much factory, a pioneer edition or 6 disc changer would be premium. the rims are a premium option I think other than that everything they pointed out is pretty normal for a sport trac as far as i know.

and check on that warranty, cause 78-100 k is not that far, unless they are gonna warranty you to 178,000...now that would be something. other than that ther 4x4 isnt so much a necessity in FL, you guys dont get snow...like we do in NY (last year my town recorded over 300" from start to finish on the snow season. obviously some melted off) unless you wanna go mudding or something. if you like the truck buy it, but dont pay over 9 or 10 grand for it.

Ok thanks for all the advice everyone, Also do you think its worth the 34.99 to get a Carfax on the truck if I'm 99.9% sure I'm going to buy it? Thanks again

Seems nice man, price seems ok though I think you should talk them down a bit.

Actually starting in the 04 model years you could get the truck in mono colors. Which is a cool thing. I wish they had done that at the beginning.

Carfax is iffy- it's way overplayed for what it really is. A lot of damages mow-a-days are not turned into insurance, etc., and I have a lot of friends that didn't show major issues on Carfax that was actually part of their vehicle's past life.

My .02- I'm just really, really uneasy about smaller lots like that with low mileage cars.

if your gonna spend $10,000 or more on a truck they had better give you the damn carfax for free. any dealer worth a damn has a subscription to carfax so its nothing for them to pull it up for you.

the more i read this thread the more i wonder if these guys are trying to take you for a ride ...and i don't mean in a sport trac. If i were you i would walk away for at least one day and see what else is in town, or even the next town. i can see how bad you want this truck, and thats cool. but give them a curve ball and walk away for a day and see what happens.

Well I actually bought the truck for $9,500 with $3,000 down so i only to pay $6500 on a 48 month plan, which should be extremely easy for me. I'm very happy with it, I drove it home (50 miles) It did perfectly fine, nothing wrong with THAT I COULD TELL. I'm going to be taking it to a mechanic just to look at everything. It was included with a 3 month, 3,000 mile warranty which is better then nothing. I may possibly be buying a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty for $1,000 depending on what I hear from the mechanic. But its extremely nice, and I'm very pleased with the overall experience. I will post pictures tomorrow. Thanks everyone!

Congrats man! Just be weary of those "warranties" that you can buy for used cars, they really only cover MAJOR repairs.

Yeah I will, I'm going to check some online before i buy the one the dealership is offering.

i bought an 04 for 15k. Same color, color body panels. the thing i got screwed on was the brakes and tires. makes sure you have a good set of tires. its also a 4wd.

Yeah, meeee toooo!

FYI: When looking at those claddings/bumper covers as far as being repainted, the OEM mono/body color items were smooth finished not textured.
