guys, i have the kkm and a superchip, but am i wasting my time without a catback system? i know when i have my chip in, i can definitely feel a difference, but cant the kkm hurt more than help without a catback system? (i have a problem with catbacks, because i dont want the noise.)

im just thinking about how they all affect each other.

To make it simple the good air goes in and the bad air goes out. You definately need a cat back,

keep the filter. and I definately recommend getting exhaust. I think you're beating a dead horse

Oh, you said in your last thread that that was your final exhaust thread ;)

yeah, i know ;) but this isnt really an exhaust thread. for me, the exhaust just isnt gonna happen, i dont think, but i was wondering if the kkm was hurting more than helping without the catback; if it was, i wouldnt force myself to get a catback, i would just take off the kkm.

so why is the exhaust not happening? sound or $$$?

time mostly, and sound. they have to be done with my truck by next friday, and the exhaust guy has to put it on tomorrow so they can finish the rest of my body work next week, so we're just going with stock for now - that way im guaranteed to not be annoyed by it. i might play with it next summer, if i dont have another toy by then ;)

i would recomend a 50 series flowmaster and 2 1/4 inch catback.

i was just wondering if you knew howmuch of a performance and sound gain you would get with that exhaust setup and a k&n air filter

noticably better throttle response and probably about 5-7 rear wheel hp.

when i had my previous exhaust systems, the thing i noticed the most was the increase in MPG. its not like a little geo metro, but the MPG went up noticeably.
