Not sure if this is the correct forum but here it goes. I am having issues with the un-lock side of the driver door switch. It no longer unlocks the doors; the pass side does still work fine. The problem was intermitent at first but now is no longer working. I got a used switch from a friend and had the same problem. It it possible that both switchs were bad? are there any relays involved. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When this happened to mine, it was the door lock solenoid that went bad. At first it wouldn't lock intermittently, but eventually it won't lock at all. This happened on the drivers side door and the back hatch on my Sport. Last time I bought the solenoid, it was about $80 from the dealer, you probably can get a better price from fordpartsnetwork.com.

The door lock works... Its the drivers switch that only locks. It no longer alows me to unlock the doors from the drivers side switch.

Sorry, I misread part of your post. There are door lock relays. They are located in Aux Relay Box #4 which is behind the drivers side rear trim panel (in the cargo area)

I have a 97 Sport and my drivers side and hatch will sometimes not open with the key. I've put in liquid graphite and the lock seemes to move freely but won't unlock. Someone told me there are nylon bushings in the mechanism that wear out and need to be replaced--has anyone ever looked at this problem before?

Regards,
Barry

I don't normally use a key because the remote for my alarm is programmed to open the door locks. So I don't have any problem like this.
