Black 98 xlt 5.0 awd
So I had some moron t bone me in my 98 xlt. So after a full rear quarter panel I replaced both drivers side doors from a donor 97 xlt. While I was swtiching mirrors to my puddle / heated mirrors, I noticed the plugs arent the same in the door, and I am unable to plug in my mirror. Also, power locks do not work at all on the truck now, keyless doesnt work, even though it lights up. Windows work, and after searching, Im lost. Any help would be great guys

The RAP module is located on the driver side rear quarter panel, could have gotten damaged in the accident. The RAP module controls power locks, and the key pad.

it was working after the accident, just stopped after I switched out the doors. Ill have to inspect it tomorrow for broken wired, maybe something will be visible

It is not uncommon for the wires to break in the black canister thing on the drivers door, possibly check that out. I know my lock/unlock button stopped work, and I found 2 wires had just broken into 2 pieces. Re attached, and it worked again.

Inspected everything I could, and nothing. I fixed the mirror problem by taking the harness out of the drivers door, and replacing it with the one out of the damaged door. But still nothing as far as door locks. So can I replace the module with one out of a donor truck? Is there a fuse or relay that might be the problem? I read in my searches that the radio fuse was linked too it, but my stereo still works fine, so that cant be the case

That question is honestly beyond me, I am uncertain if the RAP module is programmed to each specific truck or not. But if nothing works that it controls, I am wondering if the impact somehow unplugged it, have you actually looked at the module it's self? If that is good then I am out of ideas, but somebody should chime in and help you out.

IF you are saying that the lock/unlock switches at any door or cargo area don't work to unlock/lock the doors, it has nothing to do with the RAP module. You likely have wiring issues. You need to check for a ground coming to the unlock/lock relays in the quarter panel to see if those relays are working.... then again, did you actually check to see if those relays are still in place???

+1 on this. The lock/unlock relays are all back there next to the RAP module; and the wiring goes forward along the door sill. In fact, there is a splice at the door sill that often causes lock problems. Any of this could have been damaged.

If you change out the RAP module, you will have to retrain your remotes, you will have a different factory door lock code for the keypad; and you will have to reprogram any user set keypad code. None of this should be a big problem - doesn't need dealer involvment or anything like that. Good luck.
