Power mirrors partially not working

I'm not seeing this same issue when doing a search. I have a 2002 Ford Explorer and recently I cannot get my power mirrors on either side to move left or right. The mirrors will move up and down.

I thought maybe when I waited the car I pushed the mirrors so while driving on a long trip a few weekends ago I held the button to one side hoping the gears would catch up with mirror as I have done in the past.... but nothing. I'm at a loss.

I had that issue on my 04 and finally found a broken wire in the loom between the A or Hinge pillar and the driver's door. You have to pull back the rubber boot. Yes, it is a pain to get in there and work on it. I just crimped on male and female spade connectors. It has been good for several years now since.
