The lumbar adjustment on my power seat is leaking air...It takes about 20 minutes for a full bladder to bleed out. The seats are out of a 97-98 Explorer with the full power and adjustable bolsters. Can this be fixed feasibly? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, got the same problem. Do not know how to solve it, but a bit surprised that no one have make a reply, course what I know, it is not an unusual problem.

Did you solve it by yourself, or had to go to a garage?

Kind regards Mats

I actually have not solved the problem yet - however - it's pretty easy to take the seat out, I imagine there are some hoses between the pump and bladder that probably rot out. So far i've just lived with it.

Hi.
Thanks for your kindness to answer.
Will try to take it out, later on when the weather is a bit better.
I had this problem earlier with another explorer, then I just "live with it" but now my back is a bit worse, so I will try to fix it.
Strange is that it seems like no one really has posted anything about this matter, loots of those explorer I have been looking for when I bought this had the same problem.

I a a Swede, living in Sweden, with Swedish as my first language, so I am a bit suspicious that I might have been searching for the problem with wrong words - any clue there? Or suggestions?

Have an nice day / Mats

Had the same problem with my Explorer. Looked for some info and found none so I pulled the seat and over stuffed it with foam. I figured I only adjusted the seat once so I didn't need the function to work.

Not a bad idea :)
Only time I need to adjust it is during long rides, then it can be helpful to a stiff back.
