I noticed what appears to be power steering fluid leaking from one of the boots on the power steering rack. I thought it would just require a boot change but the dealer is telling me I need to replace the entire rack to the tune of ~$1200.
First off, any thoughts on this?
Secondly, how difficult is it to replace the steering rack on a 1995 Explorer XLT?
