Power window fuses? Driver window doesn't work but the rest do.

My driver's power window stopped working tonight, thankfully it's in the up position. All the other windows work properly as does the window lock out.

I thought it may be a fuse but my owners manual doesn't show any fuses listed for the power windows. I would imagine they must be fused, individually or as a group,

Any suggestions?

check to see if their is any broken wires in the door jam on your driver door. take off the black boot that runs between your door and the body and look for any broken wires. I have a simialr problem, my back window would go down but not up, drivers window stopped alltogether. Turned out to be a couple broken wires in the door.

Do you have to cut that boot off? I was able to pull it away from the door sode and get a look in, no wires broken. Truck has hardly been used, doesn't even have 15K on it even though it's a 2002.

Do you know if I have to pull the entire door panel to replace the switch or does the switch panel come off? Any directions here on how to pull the panel?

You really need to check those wires good, don't cut the boot but it won't come off fully unless you pull the harness out of the door.

The switch panel come off all by its self. Pretty easy. The door panel has a couple of bolts holding it on. One behind the switch panel, and one by the top, front. Then it just lifts up and off.
