just noticed the other day I can open all the windows in the truck and close them, but nobody else can do it, the passenger windows and rear windows cannot be opened with their switch. I tried to replace the switch and it still didn't work.(maybe bad 2nd switch) is there a safety switch or does the window lock button become faulty, can it be repaired?

There's a "lOCK" switch on the driver's master switch. It prevents the other window switches from working. This is a safety feature for children (and dogs).

Are you referring to the 'lockout' (child safety) switch(es) being defective? Been a while since I had mine out. Can you jump between the two switch terminals w/o power with an ohmmeter to test switch or by pass when hot with two needles or similar to pierce insulation and see if other windows operate.

yes this is what I mean, I will try to by-pass it. thank you.

If the window lock switch provides continuity when in the "Unlock" position, look for a broken wire in the driver's door wiring bundle between the door and the body. All the power for the non driver's door window switches goes thru a single wire (light blue/black) into the master switch, thru the "Window Lock" button, then thru another single wire (red/light blue) out of the master switch to a splice inside the body for distribution to those other three window switches. If either of those wires is broken in the bundle, the other window switches will not work. Here is a great source for wiring diagrams:

Good luck.
