325k on OE 5r55e here. 30k fluid changes

I got a maverick in august and if you read the fine print they recommend flushing the trans at 30k under severe driving conditions, which includes frequent stop and go driving. Stop and go is pretty much all of my driving. That explains why my old mazda's trans was getting grabby at 98k.

Every drop of fluid in my 05 explorer got changed after the trans failed and had to be repaired. The brake fluid and power steering fluid were both black, like thick coffee. The brakes were noticeably firmer after bleeding them out and it steered easier. After that I did the transfer case and diffs neither of which seemed that bad but it's cheap peace of mind.
