Ok, I have the 5.0 and it has had a pretty decent oil leak i think its coming from the oil pressure sending unit, thats what looks wet with oil, and clean unlike everything around it. Or could it have anything to to with where the oil filter "holder" goes into the block. sorry about the lack of decent terms in the previous sentence. Has anyone changed the sending unit, or had it leak? I am trying to get this thing "problem free" before next spring/summer, it is senior year and im planning a road trip during the spring break and another one in the summer, im Trying to do some things before college!

I'm going to make an educated guess and say you have a decent high resolution digital camera? Take several photo's with good lighting and multiple angles of the problem and then post them on here. You may need to shine a flashlight on the object to get the camera to focus sharply. That will aid greatly in helping you.

If it started happening after an oil change it could be the o-ring around the filter. Some times they can unseat while installing if you use a low quality oil filter.

There should be a gasket for the oil pressure sending unit. Also, make sure it's not leaking from the top (ie rocker covers) which can leak onto the OPSU.

I have looked around and there isn't any oil above that points except for a bit of blow back. I use motorcraft oil fiters, idk if those are low quality. But i think it is the sending unit ill get pictures when the weather is better.
