Hello all - I'm new to the site - I was at the auto carwash the other day - and after the wash and dry - my primary driving lights and high beams do not function - my parking lights work but not the primary driving lights - I bought the vehicle used, so i do not have an owners manual to see what fuse(s) correspond to the lights - can someone help me out? what other things can I check - everything worked fine until the car wash - now my trucks clean and I can't drive at night - hahahaha :) Look forward to future correspondence with my fellow Explorers -

Thnaks in advance - Fred 1996 Ford Exp - 2 wheel drive 6 cyl 4.0

Sounds Like you lights are dead (get new bulbs) but prior to that look at all your fuses pull one at a time and see if there burnt out, i know its a pain but should solve the issue.

Check fuse 11 in the underhood box. Fuses 4 and 8 in the inside fuse panel are for the left and right low-beam element, but since they both don't work and the high beams are affected too, it's probably the one in the underhood distribution box.

Hello all - I am happy to report - after some great suggestions i pin-pointed my issue, and have lights back I tried to find the LOM by removing the center console cup holder and compartment, but did not find an lom??? So then I checked ALL fuses, found none blown, and low and behold, the last and probably should have been the first, I checked each bulb, sure enough both were blown, apperently they weren't seated all the way in, and when I went to the car wash and the water hit the very hot bulbs, the blew - hahahahaha go figure, so as a suggestion always check your bulbs first - hahahahaa will save you some time and frustration - thanks to all who responded, and thanks to this sight for giving me options to check - I would appreciate if someone could tell me where my LOM is located - because when I removed the center console, I did not see a module - Thanks again Fred
