Problem...Shaking from rear when accelerating

Please help...

When I accelerate, the entire back end of the car rattles/shakes. The car still drives, but it shakes very bad from the back end and moves all the way through the car. In addition, the car accelerates slower than usual...not able to get up to top speed as quick. Almost feels like I'm towing something.

If anyone could shed some light on this, I would appreciate it. I just want to have an idea what to discuss with a mechanic when I bring it in tomorrow.

It turns out it was a busted Ujoint in the right rear of the car. $300 later, runs like a dream.

Hard to believe the car actually still drove though... usually if it is a u joint, it would lock up the wheel...
