What is the proper procedure for resetting the PCM in our 03 Ford Explorer 4.0L V6, all wheel drive Eddie Bauer model? I thought you just had to pull the negative battery cable for a while? How long? Or am I not even close to being correct? Any help is greatly needed and appreciated.

@NotAFordGuy Meaning, with the Negative cable disconnected, touch it to the Positive terminal, or join the two with a jumper wire. This discharges capacitors in the modules. Obviously, DO NOT do this with the battery negative post still connected! imp

Ive done this and it does reset the check engine light but doesnt reset the radio or anything programed into my ""info center"" like how many ""miles to a oil change"" or anything else gota question if its really resetting everything. ...
