PTU leaking or maybe exploded?

2016 Explorer Ltd 4wd

How hard it is to replace the ptu ? I think mines exploded there seems to be gear oil everywhere but only leaking from the passenger side. When leaking does it leak on the exhaust? Also does rockauto sell them because I can't seem to located it.
