Putting a stock navi in my 03 XLT

I just purchased an '03 XLT and wanted to put the stock navi into it, I have a guy that is selling a navigation unit "6 disc OEM navigation unit The unit number is PM2L74-18K931-BK"

Will this fit in my 03 explorer, and if so... how much is a reasonable price I should offer him for this... it is brand new.

No, off of craigslist.. the guy won't give me a price... he wants me to offer one.

About the fit, you would need the exact dimensions.

Personally, I would pass on that... it looks very old. Do you have a price range for how much you would like to spend on a nav system?

I want to be under 400, I like the fact that it is stock... but there is another guy selling a pioneer avic-2 for 300 but the knobs are broken so I would have to order two new ones from pioneer.

04 and 05 are in gen 3, and 2006 is a gen 4... Don't they have different interiors/dashes? Meaning they won't be interchangeable?

I'm not 100% sure about the change though. But as a converse to "if it fits in an 04 it will fit in an 03"... "if it fits in an 06, it wont fit in an 04, so it wont fit in an 03". that assumes the dash was completely redone between the two generations. someone else will chime in soon about the interior changes...

ask for the serial number of the item and the type vehicle it came from...

That would have been bad... Dropping a few hundred dollars for something that isn't going to fit.
