In my never ending quest to find used parts for my 6" lift I ran accross a guy that's wheeling a '47 Willys P/U that's been modified with some chev and Jeep stuff. He's selling the 6" extended brake lines so I'm wondering if they'll fit my X. Do all brake lines have the same hydraulic capacity and thread? Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't mess around with used brake lines. Brakes are very important, and if you can't spend the 36 bucks for some brand new ones, then you don't need to be modifying your truck. Not to sound mean or anything, its just that you may as well get the right parts and know that they will work perfect. KWIM?

Trouble is they're not $36 here. THey're $210 for the front and rear (up here in the frozen north). Any savings is worthwhile...

Sorry dude, I know how it is. Im in Alaska. If the brakelines fit and they dont look cracked or broken they should be o.k. I would try to get the new ones though. Just my $.02

James Duff and 4wheelparts have extended ones for under $100.

Dead Link Removed

have you called these guys yet. they do pretty well with pricing.

Here's how us Canadian get shafted:
$100 brakes
$15 shipping
$10 border tax
Total = $125
Conversion factor to Canadian dollars = 1.61
Total Canadian Dollars = $125 * 1.61 = $201.25
I may as well be using peso's.....
