Ok, I yanked out my cubby hole the other day and am going to put my amp in there all the wires are in there and i've just got the amp sitting out of it atm...the reason i haven't put it in yet is because i'm scared lol. If i mount it directly to the inside of the rear fender...will the screws pop out the other side?? If so or if mounting directly's not a good idea how should i mount it?? it's a rather small amp it's an alpine mrp m350 if u wanna check it out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

mount it to a board, then mount the board to the floor

in the cubby hole?? because it has to go in there i busted it trying to pull it out so i can't put it back in now lol and it won't fit laying flat so it has to be standing vertically againist the side of the car, thanks though

I think you are still going to want to mount it to some sort of bracket or board and then mount that. I understand your need for it to be vertical.

have you taken the whole panel off or just yanked the "pocket" out?

If you haven't taken out the panel, do that and you will start to see how you could tie into different points to mount it.

are you still using the factory amp? I used the factory amp bracket to mount a small MTX amp back there.

and you definately do not want to screw into the outside sheet metal.

i'm still using the stock amp for the speakers, it's better then no amp and i don't have money for another amp, I've just taken out the cubby hole and i'd rather not have to take the whole panel off, I can fit the amp in without taking off the panel. What about 4 L brackets mounted to the outside sheet metal?? and then the amp mounted to the brackets?? kinda like how the stock amp is in there

that stock amp isn't mounted to the exterior sheet metal. It is mounted to internal support structure. If you remove the whole panel it will easier to find a way to tie into this structure and possibly the floor.

Maybe you could use 2 L-brackets mounted to the floor. might be a little flimsy without anchoring the top somewhere. I think its gonna be tough to secure the brackets even, without removing the panel. It comes out fairly easily.

are you using a stock HU still? cause your aftermarket HU can probably produce better sounds on its own than feeding through the factory amp. Just a thought.

If it wasn't so cold out i would go pull my panel so you could see whats going on in there.

No, i have 2 crossfire subs an alpine amp and JVC headunit. If i do have to remove the panel what needs to be taken off to take it out other then those pin things at the top?
