I have just replaced a second rear wheel bearing within 1 WEEK of the first one going out.I installed and torqued according to the book and now after 20 miles the new bearing is weeping/seeping grease. Is this normal and the bearing is just flinging out extra grease or do I need to get the more expensive kit(I paid 117.00)?Also the wheel studs in the new hub are slightly thicker than the brake rotor mounting holes and have perforated the surface face of the rotor slightly-has anybody else experienced this?Another well machined Chinese part I suspect.

not sure about the grease flinging out but , when i replaced my front bearings with an aftermarket one ( advance auto ) i had to remove it and get one from ford due to the ABS light comming on , the gear inside the bearing for the ABS was garbage the teeth where flat or spaced wrong , so i went to ford problem solved .

With one going out in a week, hum, problems with the second one too, . . .Actually, i'm wondering if you are getting the right part??? Double check build dates . . .and part numbers for your year.

I haven't done the rears yet, but from experience no grease should fling out, the studs should be the same size, should just be the new version of what you have. On the studs I'm not sure what you mean by perforated?

Sorry I should have clarified that I replaced the other side within 1 week.I have 1 more to go on the front passenger side and then all 4 will have been replaced.BTW the machine shop verified that it was their grease on the bearing that they use to press it in.I guess I really cant complain with 148000 on the clock and original tranny.Next time I will buy the bearing only and have the old one pressed out.
