Today for the first time I sat in the passenger seat of my explore. I turned on the cooled seat and learned that its soooo much weaker than my driver seat plus neither of the backs get cold so, I am going to take it in to be looked at before I do I had a few questions,

I realized that when my collision alert system goes off my steering wheel does not vibrate (rumple strip feeling) is it suppose to? I thought that was part of the system but maybe i'm mistaken.

Also it seems that my auto wiper blades do not tiger as over the last few days it had rained and when I started my car they did not wipe away the rain. so i turned up the sensitivity almost to the top and past under a tree which got the window wet and again no wipers. I figured I would test this using a hose when i had the chance. just wondering what some thoughts might be.

I have a 2013 Ford explorer limited with a 302A package on it.
I tried to add my vehicle specs under my profile but could only figure out how to add the make and model.

The only time I’ve had the steering wheel vibrate is when the Ex is in the “lane keeping” mode. The collision warning radar will set off the HUD, (Heads Up Display), the warning sounds, and precharge the brakes if you get too close to the vehicle in front of you. It does not vibrate the steering wheel. On your LCD screen to the left of the speedometer you can also choose how the system reacts to these different situations. Gotta really read the owner’s manual, these puppies can be complicated!!! Come to think of it, I think I am due for a refresher of that manual.

I also have the rain sensitive wipers. On a few occasions mine also did not wipe when there was water on the windshield at startup. The sensor is located in that large black plastic part of the rear view mirror. I believe mine is set at the second sensitivity mark and works well there. Do you also have the rear wiper set to come on? There is a setting that allows it to come on when the front is also activated and you put the vehicle in reverse.
As for your vehicle specs. Under your name it would help if you showed the model such as XLT or Limited. If you actually want to enter info under the heading Vehicle Specs , like I have, then go to your profile (CP) and select Edit Options. Scroll down and you will see an area where you can enter additional information. Hope that helps.

Hi Steve7647,

Shoot me a PM so I can loop in your regional customer service manager. To get started, I'll need your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name.

Thanks!

Crystal

sorry for the long delay, I took my car in to get the seats looked at. the dealer called me back fairly quickly saying the seats are fine. he said his computer show all systems working and the system has a built in thermostat and they read the temperature in the proper zone. I asked if someone actually sat on the seats he said no there was no need due to the computer shows everything was working properly. guess I will have to test them out some more to make sure I am not just loosing my mind.

Only the front seats heat and cool.

The OP said nothing about the rear seats. He is talking about the verticle part of the front seat ( where his back is).
