Recently purchased a low mileage 2008 V8 STL that came from Myrtle Beach, SC and the chrome on all four wheel covers is starting to flake off. Where can I buy these chrome wheel covers..thru Ford maybe? Here are some pics of it. I'm really liking this truck..it rides, drives, and performs great..and fits in my garage! :D

I have those same wheels, and I was under the impression that the chrome covers are glued or otherwise permanently attached to the aluminum below.
Ford is unlikely to be willing to sell you just covers, they would probably have you buy new wheels - if they even have them available anymore.

You could have the wheels/covers refinished (either chrome-effect or other color of your choice). If you're not particularly attached to chrome, then just sand them down and recoat them yourself (I'd recommend Duplicolor wheel coating).

Glad to hear you're enjoying your ST and welcome to the forums.

Interesting..I'll have to check that out. Will 18" F150 wheels fit the ST?

No, not without wheel adapters (which would have to be spacers too).
Here is a website where you can do bolt pattern cross-reference for all OE type wheels.

You need 5x4.5in (or 114.3mm) wheels with 1/2-RH studs and 70.3 (or larger) hub bore for the wheels to work without adapters. The F150 is 6x135 or something close to that.

I do think a lot of F150 wheels look cool, but using adapters or spacers creates a weak point in the axle (spacer studs). However, if you're just driving around like a normal person and not strongly torquing the axles (burn-outs, 11's, offroading, etc.), then adapters should be ok.

Thanks, appreciate the info..

Ed
