question of the day... well sorta

ok i messed up my bumper a little, put a small dent in it and i'm looking to replace it or get it fixed.... boomin offered me his front bumper from his 2000 mounty w/ the headlights..... i have a 97 (pre-production 98) and it's supposed to bolt right up. Boomin checked the voltage for the fogs and it registered at 12v. He said if I splice my old wires into his wires and bolt the bumper right up it should all work and be a perfect fit. Does ANYONE have any knowledge about if there are any difficulties or problems with doing this? We have both checked and all seems to be a perfect fit, but I'm just looking for second opinions...i have all faith in the world in boomin..... but i like to research.

admittedly it IS an unusual question, I doubt many will know, and not likely they will log on to reply within hours. Will you get a definitive answer? I have no idea, but patience my friend.

as long as you mind the polarity the electrical is a non issue.
As far as the bumper is concerned, I am 90% sure you will be golden there as well.
