Today I was driving my 01 Explorer Sport.

And I reliazed that my X wasn't getting that much power and It would only go up to 3,000 RPM and get stuck on there and then. My X didn't seem like itself today.

And then I pull to the side of the road and my flowmasters have a bad sulfer like sewer or rotten egg smell. So I dunno whats wrong.

And then I open up my hood too and it has the same smell I had on my flowmasters.

So if there is anyone out that knows whats wrong with my X can you help a fellow Explorer driver out.

Thanks

Sam

Clogged catalytic converters possibly.

I'd think its too new for that. Did you get a CEL? Sounds like it may be a spark plug/wire problem, or an 02 sensor. I would bet its a plug/wire problem though.

LOL, sorry, they are never too new for clogging. 1 tank of some bad gas will plug those puppies right up. Anytime you get a rotten egg smell in your exhaust, 99.999% of the time it's the cats.
