# Well, I hated to do it, she's been a solid rig, but economically, paying for a rig and insuring it just to be driving a beater makes no sense. Initially i was trying to repair/ mod back to a presentable, but more capable off-road condition. Each time i got something straightened out, more damage would be apparent. after sitting down and seriously biting the bullitt, i called insurance and asked them "hypothetically, if i was to have wrecked a few months ago..." well, i found out that my rates would not go up all THAT much:rolleyes: so her she is, and ive been getting the "War Waggin'" prepped for her return to Operation: North Idaho Environmental Assault...:dead:#
I am going to be looking for a new ex, but this time i'll likely find one with the ultimate plan of SAS and more intended, and not be financing... I really like the '02+ but sure are up there bokk wise, as compared to the 01n older.

I am confused. :wtf: Did the Ex or the Bronco get put down. From the pictures it looks like both. :dunno:

english translation is,

i wrecked my Ex a while ago, never told the insurance company,

Your guess is as good as mine!!

ya, thats about it. sorry if i get a bit wordy sometimes.bronco was DD until mid 06, then we got a white 06 xlt explorer, which i rolled last oct., not even 13 hrs. before, Geico, our new insurance company, policy was effective! Yup. not even 13 hrs and new client has a total loss pay off. The nice folks at geico wasted no time providing me with the check, and i went back to rokstad ford here in sandpoint, and my friendly dealer, dave brooks promptly had me driving away in another (pictured)02 xlt, which i launched off a driveway embankment on dufort rd. about the middle of june, at approx. 60 mph after falling asleep at the wheel.on my way TO work. oh yeah, i rolled the white ex cuz i fell asleep on my way HOME from work...this recent incident the bonner co. deputies said that i was about 20=/- ft. in air from turf to tread, and it was 57' from take off/landing, and i stopped in less than 20' thanks to some well placed trees that i jammed inbetween. i put neg. batt cable back on terminal, pushed f-pump reset, and backed out and drove back onto road :burnout:to cut barbwire off rr wheel.have a video i took afterwards, shows tire tracks, launch ramp and steep bank to bottom of hillslope that i landed in, but i cant figgur how to upload. so yes, i was reluctant to want to turn in another claim... was hoping to replace some sheet metal, and glass, and well, when the new gets rubbed off, all the places you wanted to go wheelin are suddenly available, cuz, whos gonna notice another dent?:hammer::dunno:

Would that have any influence on your avatar "Elite Crash Dummy". lol Glad your alright.

wow your a bad driver

wow your a bad driver
I could take offense to that... Actually I'm a very good driver, when I'm awake. Of the three Explorers that I've totalled, the second one (white 02) was a result of allowing myself to take on more field scheduling at work than was safe, as it was the end of a 3 1/2 week stretch of our company being overbooked, and short staffed, and i was putting in 80+ hrs./week, plus logging around300 or so miles a day, collecting material samples, compaction testing, qa asphalt paving, inspecting materials all over n. idaho, washington & montana. Last one was a bit of long days, topped with a looming divorce and related stresses all add up to a n exhausted state that snuck up on me. at least, im still married...:banghead:

wow your a bad driver
Also, wouldnt you say that piloting an explorer in an extreme aerial manoever SUCH AS I DID, while sleeping, no less, be a display of my superior skills as a driver??? lest we forget, i drove away, too.:p:

yo' da worst cruize ah gots ever seen. why
do ya put yourself an' others at risk!? an dat boil on mah ass.

huh??? you gots a boil on your ass and its drivin you crazy?? sounds like you need a M.D. , thats a bit out of my comfort zone.

Are you going to get another Explorer?

you got a point sir:monkey:

Hmmm, I get what you're saying but, he may have a point (see below). Being a "bad " driver implies someone who doesn't have the ability and knowledge to operate and maneuver a vehicle with precision, etc....

Of course, one could easily argue that crashing/totaling 2 vehicles demonstrate such lack of skill as to qualify as a bad driver.

However, he was asleep at the time of both crashes. Therefor he ceased to be a bad driver, or any kind of driver. At that point he was merely a passenger. We do not have enough evidence of "dbush72"'s actual driving ability (while awake) to determine if he is a good or bad driver.

However, it is safe to say, based on the evidence HE provided here, it is pretty clear that he is an irresponsible individual, who has twice acted recklessly and jeopardized the safety of every one around him, as it relates to the decision to operate his vehicle, when he should have known he was impaired due to lack of adequate sleep.

I could take offense to that... Actually I'm a very good driver, when I'm awake. Nothing wrong with working hard, but there is no excuse for making the CHOICE to drive, when you should have known better. Maybe you get a pass on the 1st incident; everybody makes mistakes. However, after that, you should have been even more aware of the dangers involved, and the 2nd should never have happened. If you are too tired to drive, then take a nap in your truck, a motel, whatever. Even a quick 1-2hr catnap could have been enough to keep you from crashing.

You are very lucky. If either one of those incidents had involved another vehicle, you could very well be in jail right now for vehicle manslaughter, or worse.
Geico really ought to drop you after this , for the sake of the rest of their customers, and everyone else on the road. The sheriffs/local police/whoever responds to these things in your area ought to arrest you, or at least give you some serious ticket(s) - reckless driving comes to mind. I'm not normally a fan of cops and general traffic enforcement, but this is one case where they should throw a whole ticket book at you. As I said, maybe the first one is an honest mistake, but the 2nd clearly shows that you didn't learn from that mistake, and continue to have no regard for the safety of others.

do ya put yourself an' others at risk!? an dat boil on mah ass.

Whhhaaatttt??? I think you are trying to say something I might agree with, but I really can't tell. Please, run all future written communication through both a spell check, as well as some sort of English language grammar checker. ---for the rest of your life, or at least until you pass an English course. MS Word will do both.

A quote from Abraham Lincoln comes to mind here. Can anyone guess what it is?

Are you going to get another Explorer?

Let's hope not. They're going to stop making these things pretty soon. No need to waste a few more. Please, buy a Honda, or a Yugo. There are plenty of the first, and nobody will miss it if you wreck the other.

Actually, perhaps you may want to look here for your next vehicle:
