The fuse boxes in my "R" reg explorer are not laid out as shown in the Explorer Owner's manual that came with the car. The code on the back page of the manual is enRHD198.
The main fuse box is shown on page 112 with 10 main fuses and 15 mini fuses. I only have eight mini fuses in one area and think three separately in the same box. The aux fuse box is also laid out different numerically. Any ideas where I can find out what my layout actually corresponds to?
I am trying to fault find the same airbag warning fault as Kernowman, by checking the fuses to start with.

My book is enRHD196 and my Ex is "R" reg, the layout being like you describe yours. I can scan the pages for you, but can't do anything until next Wednesday as not at work. In the main box the Airbag system mini fuse is M4 which is the end one of the two rows of four nearest the single large relay in the group of three large relays (fuel pump relay). In the auxiliary box it is fuse 15 which is 4 down from the top, second row in from the right.
Hope this helps.

Fusebox different

Thanks again Richard, it would be helpful to have the scanned opy of your pages. One of the group of eight mini fuses is missing, number two in the first row of four. I will check out number fifteen later.

Mark, will post scans on the forum as soon as I can - may be useful to others as well. Number 2 fuse in the first row of four (looking with the relays to the left of the rows) is a blue 15 amp for the rear screen wiper.

Thanks Rich,
I will have to check again tomorrow in the daylight.

Fuse box wrong

Well, that was weird. The auxiliary fuse box is set up as per owners manual enRHD198, but the main under bonnet fuse box is as per owners manual enRHD196. having said that, all the fuses were OK.
Thanks for the link to the enRHD196 diagrams.:)

mines the same my booklet is ok for the fuses inside the car but wrong for the one under the bonnet so thanks for that link
