Wife was driving, said it overheated in stop and go traffic, and she heard a pop and then plumes of steam.
Me, thinking it was simply the overpressure cap giving out, brought 2 jugs of coolant to her rescue, to find the plastic side tank in multiple pieces.
All told, I think the electric fan experiment has been a complete failure. I'll be switching back to clutch fan at the same time I get the radiator.
