Has anyone had any problems with thier radiator leaking between the plastic endcaps and the aluminum core? I have just started having problems with mine leaking when there is a big drop in temperature and the truck is parked outside but it only happens when hot. I guess the problem is the aluminum contracts from hot to cold and the plastic does not thereby causing a leak. Is there a recall for this a fix anyone knows of other than replacement?

My 93 did the same, only when the engine was cold it would leak a hand size puddle on the first start of the day. Mine too was leaking at the crimp between the radiator and the endcaps. Dealer replaced it for free since I just bought it. I have heard you can have them recrimped, but haven't heard that worked for long. If you're gonna have to take it out anyway, why not just replace it and be done. Good luck,
CJ
