Raising Front Seats?

I would like to raise my front seats by maybe a half an inch so that i can fit some stuff under them. Has anyone ever done this or know how I could do this? I know there are just four bolts that hold them down, so could i put washers in there? BTW i don't have power seats or lumbar or any of that fancy stuff.

They are just held in with 4 bolts, but the entire lower seat frame helps support the seat on the floor. I'd use strips of steel to go along the entire bottom of the frame to space it out instead of just spacing it at the bolts.

has anyone in this forum ever done this? I think there might have been a thread on this but i couldn't find it using the search button.

I've been thinking about the same thing. I'm thinking about modifying that low spring that runs diagonal front to rear.
