- 2000 ford ranger xlt 4x4
Hello,
I'm a new user and I have some questions about the door ajar/dome light issues I have with my 2000 ford ranger. I bought after the driver door had been bent back against the hinges and a wrecking yard door was put on by the previous owner. The wiring was cut and the factory plugs were not to be found. I wired it up with speaker wires, black ground and a yellow wire that all matched the ones coming from the body. However i could find no mate for a purple with yellow stripe wire coming out of the truck. It remains unhooked and sometimes the interior lights function properly but most times i get a door ajar warning and the chime whenever the key is in the ignition (in the removal position) and the two doors are properly closed. This purple wire comes from the latch sensor but i can find no where to connect it.
