Re-Gear on a 92 XLT if 31" tires put on?

ive been searching the forums for about a week or two now and i havent come accross anyone with stock XLT with 31" tires that mention wether they re-geared or not, anybody have this set up? and if so do you recomend re-gearing? thanks for all your help

What gears do you currently have? if you 3.73 or 3.55 you will be ok. The higher the number (lower the gear) the better. The axle code is on your door jam and can be decoded here with a search

it says D4 under axel, is that the code?

I beliee that means you have a 3.73 gear ratio, which is pretty good for you. you should be fine without regearing. It wont have the get up and go you have now, but it wont struggle to move by any means.

im running 31s with my stock 3.27s and still have good acceleration and cruising speeds, just not very good at a slow crawl. moneys tight or i would have 3.73s and rear discs.
