My 05 Mountaineer rear blend door start clicking. From what I read so far and correct me if I’m wrong we have 2 rear blend doors. One to control the temperature and the other to control if the air blow from the overhead or from the lower air duct. Since mine don’t blow air from the lower air duct how do I know which one I need to buy and replace? Thanks.

it's easy take apart and you can feel which one is clicking, and take it to autozone they have the parts there. I did mine in 30 mins with the trip to the store.

If you adjust the temperature between hoy and cold slowly and the click does not change at any point, it's the upper/lower actuator. If it gets louder or quieter, it's the temperature actuator. As far as I know, it's generally the temperature actuator.
