rear doors not opening from inside

I have a 97 4 door. The back doors will not open from the inside. I know it has the childproof switches in them but they will not open with that switch engaged or disengaged. They lock and unlock normal and work from the outside handle normal. Can anyone suggest a fix for this?

i need to fix mine. back passenger door dont open from the outside anymore. both back doors very hard to open from the inside. maybe one day.
