- '91 & '93 EB, 4WD, 4-door
I just bought a 1993 EB 4WD to strip for parts to put onto my '91 EB 4WD. I must be living right; I bought the '93 for the A4LD, wheels, tires, cylinder heads, CD player, and a few other odd things. Imagine my glee when I discovered that the '93 has the D4 limited slip rear end (all that for only $500).
Woo-who! After I swap the D4 in, I can disconnect the front drive shaft and save 2+mpg. The '91 is used only on the hwy. to tow a small trailer on long drives; no need for 4WD.
Anyway, I want to swap in the D4 to replace the existing open one. I've looked and not found; are there any threads on R & R'ing rear ends? (not just the guts but the whole assembly). I've done the swap on several non-ford trucks before but would still like to see what problems others have encountered.
