I drive a 98 xlt 2wd and tonight while driving through some sand at the beach my rear end starting shaking like crazy and i let up off the gas and then back down and it was fine but then did it again. I have done this before and it hasnt done this before. Now my question is is this something to be worried about or was it just because i was driving slow through the sand and maybe not giving it enough gas to shift gears. Any help is much appreciated.

thanks nick

Sounds like a traction issue, not a mechanical problem. In other words, wheel hop. :burnout:

So thats just normal right?

Unfortunatly yeah...it can damage drivetrain components if you let it get real bad (read: floor it). Traction bars can help, if you don't want to make them yourself www.jamesduff.com has them i beleive ;)

thnks for all the help
