okay so i was all hyped about to do my crazy super charger idea and i went to give my once thought mint engine a look over n this drip from behind the engine to wear the tranny is is dripping like very little on to my cat conv, i wiped it up and went another two days to work n now its almost like a leaky sink...

am i going to have to rip my engine out or the tranny out to fix this ?

and instead of putting my set aside money in to a super charger conversion do you think i should just get a new block engine in a crate ? i mean its 1600 for a new block 302 shipped to my door step and i have enough to cover it

opinions ? ill also be doing all the work myself or with my uncle

and i love this website lol it helps me deal with my fix or repair daily love

i mean if its just a leaky seal why not just replace the gasket?? seams like it would save you alot of money if you did the work yourself. but then again i really dont know what shape your truck is in... how many miles and what do you have into the engine now? im also guessing its 1600 for a short block? then you would need a head set and gaskets also i would think.. if there arent a ton of miles on it and it were me id change the seal lol :P

its honestly mint with 170,000 plus miles i did a lot of work but besides that i KNOW i have to take the engine off the tranny in order to change it... i was thinking i should just change the whole block since its out when im changing the seal, thing is say even 2000 dollars and i have a truck with now 0 miles on its engine

idk im way over board with my tuck and im 17 lol maybe that explains my madness
