For what ever it is worth and I know that no one asked, but because it seems to come up often:
That engine additive I put in my 94 a few months ago for the rear engine seal leak is still working. The leak stopped and the seal seems to be holding.

I have never been a big fan of all the different additives, but before you go for the "big tear down" Try it. I'm a happy camper.

Oil Leak

Are you the one that posted the pic of the CRC brand stuff? I can't seem to locate it in my area. Where did you end up finding it?

I did not post the CRC picture. It was Goober who suggested the stuff. I couldn't find CRC so I used GUNK's product. Funny thing: they said it would work in 48 hours. It took ovet a week till the oil started to slow and them stop. I added it after I changed the oil.

My wife's Volvo has a constent leak around the drain plug. Yesterday I changed the oil and put in a new plug. Do you think this will help? She loses about 1/2 oz/day. My other thought would be an O-ring. The existing washer doesn't seem to work too well...

You gotta replace that copper washer on the plug every time you change the oil. you can get them from the volvo dealership, my parents have two 240s that i change the oil in. volvos are a pain.

I just replaced the copper washer and it still leaks - even though the pan is level at that point. Any other thoughts on what it could be? I don't want to cracnk down too hard on it, but I also don't want my driveway covered in oil...
