Anyone tell me where I can get a bush for the rear of my leaf spring as mine was seized onto the bolt so I want to replace it before I fit my KP shackles ?

Ay up Niall,
Av you tried heating the bolt and giving it a good whack with a lump hammer?
One of mine was well stuck, so I put a dripping wet cloth on the spring, heated the bolt, and it eventually came out. Didn't seem to do any real damage to the bush.

If you have no joy with your old ones you could get from rock or you could give these guys a call http://www.superflex.co.uk/fitting3.php

I couldn't find one listed but given the dimensions they might have a universal to suit or as this page shows you could buy some bar and make your own!!

had the same issues took it in to local garage, they used an air chisel to shock out the rust it worked, i did not want to heat it due to the rubber bush and it might melt.
onetime

Rock auto include the rear bush with the standard Shackle kit (about £5 each side) but don't sell it seperatley

But they don't do a replacement for the front spring hanger bush.

The bush is knackered as when I had the powerbar on it the whole lot turned and ripped the center off the rubber so I tightened it up again and left it until I get a replacement, I even tried my local dismantlers and they quoted me £156 incl VAT for a set of leafs :(

Just have to wait and get through RockAuto :)

Thanks for all the advice folks well apprieciated

Hi NMac

I've just checked my box of Explorer bits and I have a pair of new rear leaf bushes if you want them?

I would say pop round and you can use my hydraulic press to fit them, but I see you are in Aberdeen :)

PM me your address and I will post them Monday if you want them

cheers

Jim
