rebuild/recondition window motors?

i havent been able to find any threads about how to rebuild/recondition these window motors. am I looking in the right areas?
also- are the window motors the same as the motors for the electric seats, and the rear wiper?

I know how to remove and replace the window motors. that's easy. but a new set of those motors cost like $200. and I don't want to pay that kind of money if I can fix them myself.

ps: the windows that do function, work verrrry slowly. does that mean its going kaput, or just a dirty connection?

if anyone knows of a site or page with video (or written instructions with photos) that explains how to fix an old window motor (preferably year model specific), would be much appreciated

Slow operation can be due to 1)guides needing lube and 2)weak or gummy motors. {also, slipping innards for those that have a spring-clutch built in}
I don't think you can buy OEM brushes, but would have to find some and cut them down to fit, then arc them to match the armature brush curve.
I would suspect that the grease & other lubes used have started to harden and hinder motor operation. That, added to dirt and grime may cut down on power produced.
You may be able to clean and re-lube the ones that work slowly and get more time, but replacing the motors is a more sure-fire repair. On some you may find a dimple in the inner door panel where you can drill a hole for motor mounting bolt access. The motor will/may come with a rubber plug for the hole. The hole would line up with one of the bolts that is not a straigh-line access.
