Refreshing 2001 - Need inputs

My dad has a 2001 2wd ST w/ 120K on it. Engine and Tranny seem strong, but the whole truck feels a bit tired. Now that I am back home I want to do a bit of refreshing. Other than the basics (shocks, bushings and other wear items) what should I check?

Are there common breakages (other than the center cosole) that I should check.

Just leaning on the vast knowledge of this group.

On a 2001 the timing chain tensioners would be of concern. Notice any top end rattling? Not knowing how the transmission has been maintained I wouldn't recommend a flush for it.Have you checked for any codes? PCV system could be checked. Is it a Job 1 or Job 2?
