It has been very cold lately and i have been going out and stating my car in the morning and letting it warm up. I was wondering would it be hard to install a remote starter on my car? Or would they have too install keyless entry and everything? If they didn't would i have to use to remotes?

You can get a stand alone unit.

Given that it is -1 (wind chill is -11) out right now, I too would be interested in any models of remote starters that people on the forum have (good reviews AND bad reviews).

Thhhhhaaaaaaannnnnkkkkkkssssss (shivering).

you guys shoudl search for previous threads.. lotz of good info. but i have one.. love it.. range is over 500 ft. i have an audiovox one, but hopefully will upgrade soon to the viper responder, the one with the lcd remote. i dont think you'll hear any bad reviews, because if installed right, there shouldnt be any problems.

Yea, I installed one about a month ago, and it is one of the best mods I have considering the weather lately. Mine was a simple Bulldogg brand that I paid $35 for at Sams Club. Simple, but it gets the job done in the mornings! I installed it in about 3 hours. Install was a bit of a pain in the ass though.

I have one. Love it. Its the viper 550ESP. Has alarm and keyless entry and auto start. Bad ass unit. I can start it through walls, and about 1000ft away line of Sight .
Recommend it to anyone.

Andy
