hello all:

i am thinking of disconnecting my transfer case driveshaft to front wheels. i have heard this would give you better gas milage. can anyone confirm this and is there gong to be any problems or damage to front axle if this is done?

I don't know where you heard that, but it's not true at all.

You have a 91 which means that your transfer case will not spin the driveshaft unless it is engaged in 4wd mode.

All it would really do is give you 2wd. If you got stuck and needed 4wd you would be cursing yourself for taking it off.

Bottom line, that's a load of horse, leave it on.
