Remove front D/S in '99 EX -- what happens

If I remove the front driveshaft (just for ***** and giggles at the moment) will the transfer case push all the power to the rear output shaft?

The truck may roll away in park, it will not be any faster, and you won't save any $ in gas...

Hmm, wouldn't want it to roll away. I'll keep that in mind thanks.
I'm actually curious to feel how the truck holds up in RWD.

I actually don't know anything about the transfer case in this truck. Haven't even checked the tag under since I got it a couple years ago. I assume it's viscous?

Yep- viscous coupler.

That sounds like ControlTrac BW 4405 type maybe. I think you would not get correct speed sensor readings the computer would think the front wheels were slipping. So the clutch pack would power up and I really can't say what would happen. Sounds like bad idea but I don't know seems I've heard of it somewhere.

Joe, He's got a 4.0l. That means a 4405 T-case... No viscous coupler, no roll-away in park.

Whoa- time for coffee- didn't even see that. Blew right over the 4.0 line and saw the full time 4x4. I'm losing it lately...
