trying to change the ground to the factory amp as suggested in threads that i searched here but i can't figure out how to get the paneling off to get to the factory amp

searched countless threads in this forum and google looking for "2002 ford explorer factory amplifier removal" among other terms and didn't find any help

crutchfield shows where the amp is with the panel removed in the link below....but no direction on how to remove the panel, (I have an Eddie Bauer so I'm assuming it's a Mach system)

does anyone have a link to something showing me how to get the panel off or where to start?

It would help out tons!

thanks for all your help, people

I believe it's similar to second gen explorers.
It's a bunch of Christmas tree clips throughout the panel. Get a panel removal tool and remove all the little clips around the panel. You'll also need to move the carpet away in the trunk a bit to access the bottom of the panel. And if I remember correctly, you'll need to unscrew the top of the rear passenger seatbelt.
It sounds harder than it is. Just time consuming.
