removing camshaft sensor on a sohc

Hi,having a problem removing the camshaft sensor from the valve pan.manage to remove wire harness conector,and the one bolt...but the sensor will not pull out...do I need a tool for this? My understanding that the sensor on the sohc is a magnetic sensor with no moving parts....how do I pull or pry this out????

sealing ring?

I've never pulled mine but I suspect there is a sealing ring that is stuck in the bore. You probably just need to pry it up to loosen the seal.

My Haynes Repair Manual just states to remove the electrical connector, the retaining bolt and then the sensor.
