Hey all..needing help with figuring out what or how to remove the upper seat cover for the front seats. I have removed the headrest and unhooked the plastic loops. I think the headrest plastic inserts/guides are preventing the cover from being removed. Seems like the foam and cover can come off in one piece. Anyone have thoughts how to remove those plastic inserts/guides? Just didn't want to break those guides.

Anyone have thoughts? Or, is there a step by step on the forum (which I did a search and didn't find anything)?

TIA
Dave

Of course, the lower seat cushion was a breeze to remove.

You have to partially remove the cover to get access to the lock tabs at the bottom of those plastic inserts.

Peel up the cover from the bottom until the only thing holding it on the seat are the headrest inserts. Then you can reach in through the foam and release the plastic lock tabs.

I've never tried to remove the cover and the foam together, so I don't know how practical or possible it is to do. It's a pain to get the cover off the seat back, but not terribly difficult. There are velcro strips that run vertically to keep the upholstery correctly aligned on the foam. Just work it up slowly and kind of peel it up as you go. I've used a sheet of plastic between the foam and cover when I put the cover back on to keep the velcro from grabbing until it's aligned the way I wanted, then pull the plastic out. Otherwise you'll be fighting the velcro.
