At first I was thinking of just taking some money and doing a few minor power modifications and adding a set of big wheels.....but then I thought about it.....and wanted to do something different so I am deciding to lift my X and try to get it going offroad within the next year or so......so here is my question.......

I was wondering how much play in my suspension I will get after installing warrior shackles and doing the TT with the stock 31" tires on a 2 door sport?

Does anyone live in mid Missouri and know of some good trails and want to go out some time at the beginning of the new year? maybe right before the snow goes away....when its nice and wet.....

you'll get an inch or so of more droop in the rear due to the shackles. In the front you'll actually lose a bit of flex due to tension on the torsion bars. Disconnecting the swaybars almost always helps your flex. For a long time, I just disconnected mine and reconnected them for the road. It takes about 10 minutes for both bars.

Now with my stiffer leafs and shocks in the rear I removed my rear bar, but kept the front one. I can undo the front bar in 3 minutes.

remove it! i can't tell any difference in on road driving after doing it so i say go for it.

Well, I could tell the difference when I removed mine, but I also had a beefier one back there.

Unless you go offroading very frequently, have an upgraded and stiffer rear, or have more than 2-3" of suspension lift in the rear, I say keep it.

If you get some good firm shocks you won't be able to tell the difference. Just play with it and see what you like.
