Hi there, I'm new to this site, and I'm actually trying to find info to help my boy friend out. He's trying to get the driveaxle removed from the differential. We bought the Chilton's book and it says just to hammer the axle and it should pop off. Well we spent an hour trying to get it off that way and it just isn't working. Has anyone had to do this on anything from an 02 to an 04 mountaineer? We need to replace the axle seals. Please let me know. Thakn you.
