Hey there. So I replaced a burnt out illumination bulb in my gauge cluster a few days ago. I have the actual service manuals to my 02 sport and followed all the instructions on how to get to and take apart the gauge and instrument panel. replacing the bulbs went fine. but stupid me the one thing I didn't follow in the shop manual was to disconnect the power at the battery. I know, I know. retarded. When I was reassembling everything, I accidently activated the turn signal switch on the steering wheel column. Now the door chime goes off when the drivers door is open but car is off. normally it only does it when the key is in the ignition. I disconnected the battery for an hour to reset the computer and still no luck. any ideas?

Check the wiring for the "key waring switch" and the headlight switch, as those both can trigger a chime with the door open and the vehicle off. You might have pinched a wire when your were putting everything back together.

Mine does that too, but just because you can move the ignition a little, so try just wiggling the ignition

Sorry for the crappy pic, but all I had at the time was my cell, look for this thing, if it's loose then that might be the issue:
