Used the thread and went step by step. Replaced my ball with one purchased off ebay.
The vac. line going to the little siver thing in front of big black box (engine side attached to firewall) was so brittle that it broke when i touched it.
No way to tell if the two vac. lines running under this box are leaking/sucking.
Well, did the fix, got in car and........dang it,,,still blowing out defrost. Called it quits for the day since it was so hot. Looked at thread later that night and saw that I should have checked the junction on the cabin side/firewall. Told myself to check it later.
However, while fiddling with it two days after fix it suddenly started blowing out the vents!!!!!:thumbsup:
. Don't know the reason, but it seemed to be working. Yesterday I start the truck and it's blowing out the vents, but after approximately 5mins. it goes back to vents by itself. Now that is odd. I'll figure it out somehow.
