Replacing shocks

Hey all, is it recommended to replace all 4 shocks at once or if I know only the left rear is bad could i replace only that?

Just an opinion

If was up to me... replace all four... and save the money now then spending the money on tires later. Let alone other linkages and drivetrain concerns.

You should replace them in pairs - both shocks on the front or rear axle. They are usually sold in pairs anyway, so you wouldn't normally buy just one shock.
